To-Buy-List

These are basically the cameras I have been drooling over for ages. I have always wanted to collect cameras way back in college and since I didn't have enough money before, nothing happened. Now that I am part of the work force, I am slowly adopting cameras. New or old, doesn't really matter. Here's my hit list.

Lomo LC-A

Seagull TLR

Fed 5

Horizon Perfekt

Diana+ Edelweiss Edition

Lomo Smena Symbol Refurbished

Dalek Super Sampler

Action Sampler Flash

Yashica Electro GSN

That's just about it, for now.If there's anybody out there willing to give some of the stuff above as a gift, that would be great! Lol!

camera system that I would never have in this lifetime

I was surfing the net when I had the itch to check out cameras (as always). The brand Hasselblad crossed my mind and I was tempted to check out their site. Hasselblad is a well known medium format camera manufacturer. Their cameras are often used by professionals especially in producing fine print ads or for magazines, well, if they have the budget. Hasselblad, as far as I know, is one of the most expensive camera system out there. I haven't seen one in real life.

Having a Hasselblad would be a utopian dream for me. The price is worth more than my life, figuratively speaking though.

Their H-System and V-System can produce a whopping 30++ megapixel with a really great resolution.

Well anyway, Hasselblad has been around for ages and with quality of their products, I think they will be around for generations to come.

Pilipinas kong nag-mamahal

Sun is shining, the weather is sweet...

...but we totally wasted the opportunity to take good photographs.

Sugar, Gino and I decided to ditch the Southern Lomo Laguna Roadtrip today. I made some "paawa effect" to convince Jennie to drop by Glorieta for my films even if she cancelled our coffee session since she's got a date with her Mom. I actually have several rolls to spare for todays photo shoot.

I already packed my bag with my cameras, I was planning to bring all four analog cameras and of course, my trusty digital point and shoot. Films are locked and loaded and just waiting to be exposed. Oh well, hopefully the cancellation of the photo shoot will be a blessing in disguise that the next time we plan a photo shoot, everybody who is willing to go with us will confirm.

I think I'll just go to the mall and hopefully, somebody will text me and ask me out for a drink.

A little bit of logic...

...should not hurt.

Never pick an employee from a small team to be a dedicated floorwalker especially if you do not want to have abandoned calls.

Need I say more?

Hopefully, their decision will be a great help to avoid invalid transfers.

If I get an invalid transfer, this means war.

Just some random thoughts...

We have to make realistic decisions. This is true in every aspect of life.

We should always look back to where we came from. We must consider the opinion of our subordinates before rolling out a new directive.

Ask what your people want. Ask them what makes them work. Ask them what make them stay or what can make them stay. Don't just ask what you want from your people.

I know that change is the only thing constant in this world we live in, however, it is imperative that we, as a whole group, can flow with the changes being implied.

The service will only be as good as the salary. (You get what you pay for).

An added work without added pay is equal to slavery.

I am now half-a-body out of the door, just like everybody else.

Questions...

  • Why do students call themselves civilian whenever they are not wearing their uniform? Students are considered as civilians, just like those people who works in a company?Everybody are considered as civilians as long as they do not work for the armed forces of the national police, right?
  • What the hell is the story behind the kid's game "langit lupa", "saksak puso, tulo ang dugo" and some other weird games? It's pretty weird and violent at the same time...
  • Is it a possibility that the root of corruption in the Philippines is the game called "nanay tatay"? You may want to sing the song.
  • Where the hell did the lyrics for the "teleber-teleber" game originated?

Online Buddy...

I've met Kat Ignacio online. She's amazing. For a 19 year old kid to be producing quality videos, it's really amazing. She's the director, videographer, video editor and script writer. A one-man-production-team in the making (gahaman sa sweldo 'to, joke lang Kat). I've watched her short film titled, Oras ng Buhay. It's a great short film.

She's really talented. She's also a great photographer. She can also sing. Astig ka dude, apir!

I was chatting with her when I came up with some crazy questions I posted previously.

Anyway, here's one of her videos. Well, it's actually a cover of Wake Up from Coheed and Cambria. I asked her to do more covers, I hope she won't forget. haha...

State of the Nation.

Good Mornings

Good mornings are rare for me. It's usually a bummer to wake up at 5:30 in the morning knowing that you have a day's work ahead of you but today, it's entirely different. Since last night, I keep catching myself smiling. The reason, I don't want to ellaborate on it just yet. But I am just plain happy.

Having a really good conversation with a person you really admire is really cool. It feels good to hear her ranting about what happened that day. Even the old school cartoons from way back seems like a very interesting topic. Photography is of course, a main stay in our conversation. The are some stories that I don't have any idea but the hell with it, I am so darn interested about it.

I'm waiting for the video though, she'll cover Paramore's "Let this go" for me which is one of my favorite songs. Hopefully she'll be able my ultimate mushy song as well, Bic Runga's "Sway".

Oh well, I'll see her on Saturday.
