Woke up today feeling really tired for some strange reason. I have been such a sleepy head for almost a week now. I keep on falling asleep on my way home. I think I am not getting enough sleep lately. I've been staying up late, surfing the web and chatting. It's been a while since I last posted something here and this is not one of the things that I like posting.

Anyway, while I was breakfast, mom blurted out a really sad news. My cousin, well, my second cousin died while giving birth yesterday morning. She's Abbie, we use to go to the same school (St. Ann Academy now known as St. Mary's Academy in Sta. Ana, manilawhen I was still living here in Makati. We're not really close but of course, she's a relative so I felt really sad. We haven't seen each other for ages and this is not the reunion I expected. The baby in her womb actually died like four days before since the umbilical cord got tangled on the baby's head. I think she never had any idea that it happened. When she had her consultation with her OB, the doctor found out about it and probably told her that she needs to go under the knife as soon as possible because poop is already in her womb and she's got infection already.

Unfortunately, the doctors decided to remove all of her reproductive organs to avoid the infection from spreading but to no avail. She died yesterday morning.

I'll be going to the wake on Saturday with the rest of the clan. It is so unfortunate since she left her struggling family behind and her 8 year old kid. Abbie is just 28 years old.

Rest in peace my dear cousin. Just watch us from above together with your baby and your dad and rest of our relatives who departed already.
