AHT: 26 minutes and 30 Seconds

If you will skill me for anything, let me now. I hate surprises and it pisses me off bigtime!

And by the way, thank you for messing up my AHT, conversion and RPO!

Stop The Motion!

Looks like I will not have enough sleep this week. Darn, but it's all good.

I have two stop-motion videos to put together. It's been a while (or should I say ages) since I last sat down and edited videos. I actually miss doing this stuff. It's gonna be a lot of fun.

First stop, UST Med School Section D's MTV project. If you have watched the latest Up Dharma Down's video, their output should look like that. I hope. I guess you guys are wondrin' why on earth med students have this project. Me too, but what Ina told me is that they need to do other projects to get extra credits from their Professors. Hopefully, I'll come up with a really cool video. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Second stop, CSB stop-motion video. No light paintings for this one. This is a project of a good friend (hmmm, good friend, well, I have to think about it first if he's really a good friend. LOL!). Anyway, I have no idea what it is but he said that the musical scoring that I'll use for it is The Killer's Mr. Brightside. Cool stuff!

Both video shall be submitted by the end of the week. Good luck to me. I have to go home straight everyday so I can work on the videos before going to snoozeland. Cobra Energy Drink! Where the hell are you!

Stop-Motion | Done!

It's been a crazy week. Didn't have a decent sleep until last night. I worked on the stop motion video for UST-FMS Section D entitled "Med Life as We Know It". Encountered tons of problems along the way. The major problem is that the videos Ina provided me are in a format that my Adobe Premiere cannot read. Thank God we were able to find a solution for it. But still, the timelapse video ended up like a bunch of pictures after I rendered the video and I have no idea what the fuck happened but thank God the effect that happened did not really gear away from the concept of stop motion.

The last day of post-production is the most tiring. I woke up around 6AM last Thursday to work on it and left my place around 1PM to go to Ina's appartment near UST. I got to UST around 4PM due to the city's fucked up congested streets. When I got there, I popped out my laptop and started working on the video again. At 7ish PM, her classmates decided to have dinner somewhere, Ina and I were left in her appartment and she just studied a bit since she's got a comprehensive exam the next day. Damn, I did not ask them to get me food so I didn't eat the whole night. It was just a night of ciggy and water. All good though. I think video editing will help me lose some weight. Around 11PM, I started rendering the video and it took almost two hours to finish, and guess what, it's just a 5 minute music video. After rendering, we discovered the problem with the time lapse part, I thought it was just because I haven't exported it as an AVI file. After I exported it which basically took another hour, the problem is still there. Ina tried playing it on her MAC but still, the same problem.

She called her other classmate to decide if we'll just remove the video because we cannot find a friggin' way to solve it. The raw timelapse videos are working just fine. But the thing is, if we remove the videos, there will be loop holes in the story and they just decided to go with the one that has the videos. Woohoo!

We finished around 4AM and I still have to go home to Laguna. Got home around 5AM. Tired, hungry and sleepy but definitely happy. The song Antukin by Rico Blanco keeps on playing at the back of my head. "Sasalubungin natin ang kinabukasan ng walang takot at walang pangamba. Tadhana'y merong tip na makapangyarihan. Kung ayaw may dahilan, kung gusto palaging merong paraan."

Hopefully, they won the video competition because it will earn them extra points. I think there's a UST-FMS frosh section who hired a friggin' professional director for 30 grand. Crazy! I didn't even charged them for putting their video together, which is ok with me. Really, ok with me. Naks! :D

I enjoyed working on their video, it's been three years of boring call center life and editing videos again is more like fresh air for me.

I don't do these kinda stuff if I don't like the person. Nyahaha! Styler!

Photo of the Day | March 8, 2009 | The City From Above by Keith Rosales

Woot! One of my photographs was chosen as the Photo of the Day at PhotoWorldCup site (NeutralGrounds). It was the second photo I submitted there and it feels so damn good to know that a pro-photographer like Sir Edwin Loyola liked my work. He was the judge for that day.

It's not an actual competition so there's no price for it aside from the bragging rights to be the person who took the shot for the Photo of the Day especially seeing the other entries.

Photo of the Day | March 28, 2009 | Halakhak by Keith Rosales

Got lucky again. I took a photo of my niece last year during the time when I am still using a point and shoot camera got picked as the Photo of the Day yesterday at the Photo World Cup Asia site (NeutralGrounds). It's my second photo that was chosen to be the photo of the day. It's inspiring to know that good photographers are able to appreciate my photographs.

The photo is entitled "Halakhak". It was a photo of my niece, Love. She was laughing her heart out and I can't recall why. This time, it was Lhor Santillan who picked my photo. Hopefully this one will make it as the Photo of the Week. Hehe... :D

*Can't believe my photo was selected after seeing the other entries. Woot! :D Click here to see the other entries for March 28, 2009.

Chip Tsao! You're one dead Chinese dude! Poison in your tea asshole!

The War At Home | Chip Tsao | March 27th, 2009

The Russians sank a Hong Kong freighter last month, killing the seven Chinese seamen on board. We can live with that—Lenin and Stalin were once the ideological mentors of all Chinese people. The Japanese planted a flag on Diàoyú Island. That’s no big problem—we Hong Kong Chinese love Japanese cartoons, Hello Kitty, and shopping in Shinjuku, let alone our round-the-clock obsession with karaoke.

But hold on—even the Filipinos? Manila has just claimed sovereignty over the scattered rocks in the South China Sea called the Spratly Islands, complete with a blatant threat from its congress to send gunboats to the South China Sea to defend the islands from China if necessary. This is beyond reproach. The reason: there are more than 130,000 Filipina maids working as $3,580-a-month cheap labor in Hong Kong. As a nation of servants, you don’t flex your muscles at your master, from whom you earn most of your bread and butter.

As a patriotic Chinese man, the news has made my blood boil. I summoned Louisa, my domestic assistant who holds a degree in international politics from the University of Manila, hung a map on the wall, and gave her a harsh lecture. I sternly warned her that if she wants her wages increased next year, she had better tell every one of her compatriots in Statue Square on Sunday that the entirety of the Spratly Islands belongs to China.

Grimly, I told her that if war breaks out between the Philippines and China, I would have to end her employment and send her straight home, because I would not risk the crime of treason for sponsoring an enemy of the state by paying her to wash my toilet and clean my windows 16 hours a day. With that money, she would pay taxes to her government, and they would fund a navy to invade our motherland and deeply hurt my feelings.

Oh yes. The government of the Philippines would certainly be wrong if they think we Chinese are prepared to swallow their insult and sit back and lose a Falkland Islands War in the Far East. They may have Barack Obama and the hawkish American military behind them, but we have a hostage in each of our homes in the Mid-Levels or higher. Some of my friends told me they have already declared a state of emergency at home. Their maids have been made to shout “China, Madam/Sir” loudly whenever they hear the word “Spratly.” They say the indoctrination is working as wonderfully as when we used to shout, “Long live Chairman Mao!” at the sight of a portrait of our Great Leader during the Cultural Revolution. I’m not sure if that’s going a bit too far, at least for the time being.

WTF?! This stupid gay HK Magazine Writer has gone crazy. Somebody, please, slit his effing throat and you will do the Philippines a favor. And again, if he do have a Filipina domestic worker named Louisa, somebody save her from that stupid cock sucker. If you have read the article in its entirety, you'd notice that it sounds so gay and Mo Twister thinks the same. He's effing gay.

Chip Tsao, what a stupid name. Just stay there and keep drinking tea or something. Stuff up on dumplings and all that crap.

However, if China will wage war on us, we'll effing lose unless my man Barrack would send his troops over to help us out. We don't even have a working fighter jet. We probably don't even have enough guns and ammos in our armory. Holy crap, if the Chinese people will start to pee all at the same time, they could probably sink the whole Philippines. Crazy!

But damn, I still love to eat Chinese food. Lol...
